The people of the Harz Mountains have always been close to nature, because they did not want to deprive themselves of the very foundation of their economy. As early as the 15th century, trees were planted to provide wood—a raw material for mining and smelting—for future generations. So even back then, people were already managing their resources in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way, long before the word “sustainable” was on everyone’s lips.
June 2026 – EcoVadis Silver
In June 2026, following on from 2025, we were once again awarded an EcoVadis Silver medal, meaning we remain among the top 15 % of companies assessed worldwide.

April 2024 – EcoVadis Bronze
EcoVadis assesses and systematically evaluates companies’ sustainable practices in the key areas of the environment, labor and human rights, sustainable procurement, and corporate ethics.
In April 2024, we earned the bronze medal, placing us among the top 35% of the companies evaluated. We are proud that our commitment to sustainability has been recognized in this way.
April 2024 – Responsible Care
As a member of the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI), it was only natural for us to sign the Responsible Care Initiative’s pledge. This signature was a formality, because we have always worked according to these principles.
2022 – Solar Power System
After a long wait for delivery, we were able to put our 118 modules, with a peak output of 44 kW, into operation, thereby covering a large portion of our energy needs.
2021 – Vehicle Fleet
The first electric car has been added to our vehicle fleet.
2018 – Green Electricity
We are switching our entire operation to green electricity and installing a wallbox for charging electric cars.
Operating in an Environmentally Friendly and Certified Manner
Today, we are committed to our location on the edge of the Harz Nature Park, operate in an environmentally friendly manner, and have been certified to DIN EN ISO 14001 since 1998.
Water-based products account for 60% of the total volume, and this trend continues to rise. Technologies used in non-toxic paints for children’s toys are also applied to “regular” paints in order to continuously improve their environmental performance.

Our quality management system has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 1997 (Certificate Register No. 08 100 1790 issued by TÜV CERT, the certification body of TÜV Nord CERT GmbH & Co. KG).
Large companies regularly rate us as “A-level suppliers.” Since 2003, environmental and quality management have been integrated into a single certified system (IMS).
